Re: Poker Night at the Inventory
See, that's the thing. If you're getting this game for the poker, you're outta luck (just like buying Sam & Max for the puzzles.) Especially since, because the other players can't see or hear you, bluffing is really easy. When my Maternal Overlord said that I had to get off the computer to start doing some chores, I was in the middle of a game with a seriously crap hand, so I decided to blow the wad and go all in (since it's fake money, and I wasn't gonna be doing anything else in this game.) And just like that, everyone folded. AND I WON. BIG TIME.Commander Salamander of the Wheelchair Brigade of East Sprinklestan wrote:I've played three tournaments and lost 'em all, but somehow I had a blast losing.
And if I hadn't won, I wouldn't have cared. This is why, as a general rule, computer poker sucks. A lot.
But watching Max AND Strong Bad AND The Heavy (oh yes and Tycho) interact, talk...it's just so hilarious!
Why yes. Yes I did. BAAAnaaAAAaaaaNG! Did you notice that when Max does his little "cheeeck" thing, it's his zombie stance from Night of the Raving Dead?TW wrote:I forgot to mention Winslow's appearance. Really, the whole opening scene was great. Did you happen to notice the Banang in the air vent on the way down the elevator?
(The reference war is ON.)
Finally, my only complaint with this game is that Strong Bad sucks at Poker. He always gets eliminated in the first coupla hands! And then I don't get to hear him talk any more! He's half of the original reason I bought this game! I'm thinking of sending him an E-mail to ask him to stop sucking so bad at poker.

- "Dear Strong Bad: How do you hold cards and throw chips with boxing gloves on?"

I've managed to win two tournaments so far. Right now, I'm enjoying the awesomeness that is the Trogdor table I unlocked.

I've won one tournament (against Tycho), and I've won the Dangeresque Too glasses (YES!) and the Max Imp table. I'm focusing more on The Devil's Playhouse right now, but I'll get back to it.

Okay, that's it.
This is the second time the game has erased all my data. The first time it was annoying, but I dealt with it, simply because I only had one table and the Heavy's unlockable so far.
This time, I had 5 tables, 2 decks, and every single TF2 unlockable. The TF2 items don't mean much to me, but those 7 wins are going to be an absolute pain to try and regain.
I've never been one to complain about the bugs in Telltale's games, but this is just ridiculous.

I can't figure out how to get any TF2 Unlockables (besides the visor) actually into TF2! Of course, being me, the only one I really care about is the Dangeresque shades, but still! I want my stuff!

You know you have to be playing the Steam version for them to work, right?Uzi-Bazooka wrote:I can't figure out how to get any TF2 Unlockables (besides the visor) actually into TF2! Of course, being me, the only one I really care about is the Dangeresque shades, but still! I want my stuff!

Hey!
Telltale registered the domain name for www.pokernightattheinventory.com, and now Spammy McSpammerson's crappy fan site is gone! I can't find it anywhere!
Good thing we documented the whole highly promise volume of fun here so that we could play not with gun, but with poker gun.

Re: Poker Night at the Inventory
An interesting alternate review of Poker Night at the Inventory by a serious Poker player.

Worth a read, though I disagree with many of his points, personally. I sympathize with the glitches, though. Ugh!

Re: Poker Night at the Inventory
Not only CAN I play Demoman, but stats-wise, he's currently my best class.
Also, I found out that buying from the Telltale site gives you free Steam version for free. So, I'm getting my glasses for reals now.

HMMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...
This dialogue was hidden in the game files of Poker Night at the Inventory.
I think it may have been just a gag by the programmers, added to see if anyone could find it. Or maybe not.
