So, September, then?
Thanks. I couldn't figure that one out for some reason.

So, any speculation on what this is? Seeing as Tycho (Penny Arcade) and the Heavy (TF2) are holding cards, I'm thinking maybe a Telltale Texas Hold-'em sequel.

Still, if anything could get me to buy a texas hold-'em game, Sam & Max and Strong Bad could. TF2 and PA are okay, too.Sam Fissure wrote:Ew. Poker?

Re: Poker Night at the Inventory
Well, a lot of fans had speculated that the reason TBC hadn't been making any new toons is because they're working on a new SBCG4AP Game. Apparently, it's actually something close to that! This could be the whole reason for the hiatus right here! And, it looks like Telltale's most epic game yet! AND COOL MUSIC!
And yet this topic consists of Falcon Paunch and Wheelie discussing the month of September.

Re: Poker Night at the Inventory
Provided this isn't a texas hold-em game like everyone thinks, it could very well be the reason for TBC's hiatus (haha, hiatus is a fun word to say). But if it is a Telltale Texas Hold-'Em sequel, I can hardly see that taking up the entire last 10 months.Uzi-Bazooka wrote:Well, a lot of fans had speculated that the reason TBC hadn't been making any new toons is because they're working on a new SBCG4AP Game. Also, that music is from Sam & Max's personal wing of Hell in What's New, Beelzebub. You know, from that season you haven't played yet.

Re: Poker Night at the Inventory
Stuff it, Wheelie.
And, yeah, it prolly is a Texas Hold 'Em Sequel.
EVIDENCE:
1. The characters' silhouettes are holding cards in the teaser.
2. Telltale promised that they would make a sequel to Telltale Texas Hold 'Em on a forum poll several years back.
3. The TTHE website is a lot fancier than it used to be.
4. The aforementioned website also has a big black "COMING SOON" written in the middle of it.
And, Wheelie, the hiatus hasn't been for 10 months. It's only been since Xeriouxly Forxe, which came out in April. Therefore, it's been about 5 months. That's an almost perfect amount of time to come to an agreement with Telltale, record probably hundreds of little off-the-cuff sayings to play during the game, add all of the new art and program in new animations...5 months really isn't that long.

Re: Poker Night at the Inventory
I don't really count Xeriouxly Forxe as a break in the hiatus. Just because there's a little toon in the middle, that doesn't erase the last 5 months from history. So yeah, 10 months. And TBC don't do the animations or make the models in the Telltale games. They just record the lines and check in to make sure everything's going according to H*R plan. That definitely shouldn't take 10 months.Uzi-Bazooka wrote:And, Wheelie, the hiatus hasn't been for 10 months. It's only been since Xeriouxly Forxe, which came out in April. Yeah, I'd say that this hiatus was probably caused by a mix of things. The baby, Monster Safari, and this game. They probably just all happened inconveniently at the same time, with none of them being the singular cause.gh3tt0 s1ck n4st1 wrote:Don't forget, they were also working on Monster Safari.

Re: Poker Night at the Inventory
Agreed.
And I don't know about this game. I don't know a thing about Poker. And from what I DO know, the best part about it is bluffing, which you can't do in a computer game. But I don't think I can turn down any game with both Strong Bad AND Sam & Max. I've never played those other games, but I'm sure the whole thing will be handled with typical Telltale wit and hilarity.
But I still don't know a single thing about Poker!

Me, my sister, and my dad play Texas Hold-'Em a lot. It's the only form of poker I know how to play.gh3tt0 s1ck n4st1 wrote:I had a halloween party last year wear me and my friends played Texas Hold 'Em for candy, and each nine weeks a section in the band had a poker night.

Well, that made no sense. Except for the Vriska thing. And the Homes Smell You Later. Which probably made no sense to anyone else. Other people may have played those games you were talking about, but not Homestuck, making them the ONLY things they didn't understand. This is known as a Double Reacharound.
