TMBG just released a new CD that I got for my birthday (which is today, by the way.)
It includes "200 SBEmails."
It's basically the most awesome thing that has ever happened.

I've been getting into a lot of grunge lately. Mostly Soundgarden. "Hunted Down"? "Outshined"? "Burden in My Hand"? INSTANT CLASSICS.

Here's what I've been listening to: this man has been kind enough to upload the entire soundtrack of The Curse of Monkey Island up on Youtube.
If you've played CoMI, then this is a wave of nostalgia wrapped in awesome music. If you haven't, then may I kindly ask you to stab yourself in the eye with a fork as punishment.
...And THEN play the game (which will be quite difficult with only one eye, but it's your own fault for not playing it pre-stabbings.)

I've been getting into WaveGroup lately. They're the guys who made the cover versions of the songs in the Guitar Hero games. Basically, they sound pretty close to the originals, just with no special effects. Just plain, good ol' ROCK.

So today in history we were working on summarizing documents based on historical context, so we had to choose our favorite song and summarize it. My first choice is Close to the Edge, but it's 20 minutes long and is all really deep symbolism that i haven't figured out yet.
So I chose Go to the Mirror from Tommy

"Your Favorite Martian" is my favorite band that plays music that I would usually hate.

Yeah That was my favorite song on the album. Followed closely by Spoiler Alert and Canajoharie. I was really disappointing with the version of Cloissoné, though. I liked the jazzy acoustic music video versian a lot better. If they would have used that one, it would have easily been my favorite song.

Their brand new rarities album, Album Raises New and Troubling Questions, has the live, "jazzy" version of Cloissoné that you are referring to. It also has the song "200 Sbemails" on it, which -as far as I'm concerned - makes it required purchasing for all here.

Alterina is the most beautiful work of music ever to come out of the Homestuck library.

Squiddles would probably be my least favorite album if, you know, I had listened to more of it than the Bowman song.
Now you're probably wondering why in the hell i enjoyed said Bowman song.
Simple: Bowman can do no wrong and/or bowmanisgod
But really, I enjoyed it as a funny "we really don't take ourselves all that seriously over here" type of song. And Bowman's voice was perfect for a song like that. Really any song that Bowman sings on I learn to like.

I don't get it. I can't say I liked it, but I didn't hate it, and yet I feel like if I watched it a few more times I would go insane.
And I have resolved to find out the chords to that song, and record a cover of it for you guys (since there's not anything else homestuck-music-related that I have to do) And I'm also going to do the same for Roamin' Bowman after Feb 13
OMG GUYS HAVE YOU HEARD ROAMIN' BOWMAN YET????????
