Blue Lasermail 15: advertising (f'real!)
Well whaddaya know?
It's a new Blemail! Take that, doubters! It's up on the SBtF Fanstuff Wiki for now, and it'll be up on WUW by the end of the day.
Originally this was gonna be a standard "Here are all the ways to advertise!" thing, but even though I had some good ideas for BL ads, none of them were particularly good without visuals to back 'em up. So instead I went with this little story. Hopefully it's not utter crap.

I give it a 4/5. It's wasn't as good as the other ones.

You can send 'em to the usual email (bluelasermail@yahoo.com) or if you're on WUW, you can drop 'em by the inbox there.

I could be sarcastic and mean, but I really want to get to playing SBCG4AP later, so I'll skip that. Just pretend I made some really vicious comments in this sentence.
...
But despite all that, I have to give it a 4/5 for being a nice return, but not necessarily up to the spec of the other ones. I also notice that Lemmy has changed from simply not caring about the customers to completely obsessed about money. Although I realize the two are not mutually exclusive, I kinda liked him better when he was more than just a different Bubs.
...

Though I don't see Lemmy as really changed. I've always pretty much intended for him to be this way. Maybe I just didn't show it much in the previous Blemails. Either way, it's not so much that he's money obsessed, but rather than he realizes Blue Laser can be a moron at times and takes advantage of that fact. Really just an extension of the whole "I don't give a crap about you" personality.

That would be a little more obvious if you had him interact with other people. Maybe he cheats the C.C.dos in an entirely different non-caring fashion!

I've been meaning to throw him in with the C.C.dos for a while now. Just haven't had a good time to do it.Uzi-Bazooka wrote:That would be a little more obvious if you had him interact with other people. Maybe he cheats the C.C.dos in an entirely different non-caring fashion!

Dear Blue Laser,
What would it be like if Lenny worked for the Cheat Commandos?
Your pal,
Uzi-Bazooka.
Okay, don't actually do that. The only thing worse would be
Dear Blue Laser,
How do you type without hands?
Killingly Yours,
Uz-Bazooz.

Yeah, when writing emails, do not write them simply because you want a particular thing to happen. If you do, I will make it my personal mission to ensure that the thing you wanted to happen never happens.

Yeah, those were both joke E-mails. Anyone who took them seriously either needs serious mental attention or is Falcon Paunch.

Hence the disclaimer.
So, Wheelz, when can we expect updates now? Once a week? Every Monday? Once every two weeks? Once a year? Or do you just have no established plan.

I'm planning on going back to my weekly/biweekly schedule. You can prolly expect another by January's end.Uzi-Bazooka wrote:Hence the disclaimer.

Cool. Cool.
I find that if I don't force myself to a deadline, I won't do it. If I don't say, "All right, every Sunday there's gonna be one of these without fail," then I'll probably never update. That was part of the problem with the Caption Contest. And the Literal Forum MSPA.

I actually had that written weeks ago. Blue Laser hiring Lemmy to fix his power in Blemail #14 just seemed like the perfect explanation for the hiatus.CASH MONEY wrote:i really liked the way the hiatus explanation was executed. It was one of the funnier parts of the email. 5/5
