So I recently got a debit card, which means I can buy idiotic things off the interwebs.

Today, I purchased a THE TRAVELING WILBURY'S VOLUME 1 CASSETTE IN LIKE NEW CONDITION! TESTED! (aka Traveling Wilbury's Vol. 1 on cassette).

For those of you who don't know who the Traveling Wilburys are, they're an 80s supergroup consisting of George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison, Tom Petty, and Jeff Lynne.

So I bought this little gem for $2.99 (plus $2.50 shipping). My instant reaction was "sweet, I bought a cassette! I <3 outdated media formats!" My second reaction was "Oh shit, what the hell am I going to do with a cassette?" I have two places to play a cassette: my car (and I'm totally going to use it in there, but, I mean, I won't get much out of it on a mile drive to school.) and my stereo (although, the tape deck is always somewhere between really shoddy or flat out broken).

It's supposed to arrive before next Tuesday, join me back here then when I open it, see If I got ripped off (probably), and figure out what the hell i'm going to do with it.

So I got an email today saying that my cassette has in fact been shipped.
I also got an email saying my Rush record that i ordered, like, a month ago has finally shipped
I ship the Rush vinyl and Wilburys cassette (otp)

When I get finished with my gig today I'll go on a journey to find a non-shitty cassette player in our house

UPDATE

I still haven't received my cassette, but I have found a cassette player.
I didn't write a whole story about my search for it because I didn't want to.

I also bought something new, The White Stripes: Under The Great White Northern Lights.
This one wasn't a spur of the moment yolo purchase like the cassette, though. I bought this after failing to find the movie at my local Walmart and video rental store.

Which will get here first, the DVD or the cassette? Only time will tell
